Full size Louisville Slugger model 40HG bat measures 35 1/2" long with a rare decal featuring Harry Gowdy. Harry Gowdy decal baseball bat c.1910-15. Although obviously not used, the offered bat is identical to those used by Cobb and other Major League players during the era: Bat: NM, Decal: EX/MT-NM The decal remains as issued with bright original color and only two chips to the surface, including one at the top in Cobb's name. Vertical style decal on the barrel end pictures a young Ty Cobb in uniform. Hand turned bat of the highest quality exhibits literally no usage retaining its original surface with very pronounced graining. Full size professional quality Louisville Slugger dash dot dash model bat measures 34 1/2" long and weighs 32.2oz. Fine period baseball related display piece which nicely showcases vintage bat collections: EXįine Ty Cobb decal bat c.1910. The Spalding painted metal sign at the top is an exact replica of an original. 2/3 of its original wrought iron bat hooks. Top rail has "Base Ball Bats" stenciled boldy in black on both sides and remains in original condition. Wooden "A" frame rack was used to showcase Spalding model bats in sporting goods departments.
